Safety and Health Policy, Environmental and Quality Policy

 

Eigenmann & Veronelli SpA is a company active on the Italian market for almost a century. From the very beginning, it adopted a general policy to constantly keep abreast of the times and ever-evolving situations. This enabled the company to grow over the years, maintaining its position of consolidated organisational excellence, despite the sometimes difficult market conditions.

 

MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

For its sites of Rho and S. Martino di Trecate, the company which is classified as high-risk under the European Union's Seveso Directive, implemented Quality, Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management systems. Both sites are ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 1800 certified and therefore achieved an excellence acknowledgment issued by the Quality Certification Body.

The production unit of S. Martino di Trecate was also awarded with EMAS Certification.

Eigenmann & Veronelli has adopted ethical behaviour guidelines according to SA 8000 and the system has also been audited by Customers.

 

VOCATIONAL TRAINING

The commitment of the Management to involve all employees in a process of continual improvement represents an additional means of cohesion and cooperation within the organisation thus ensuring, through appropriate training programmes, a better quality of service for the customers.

In 2006 Eigenmann & Veronelli implemented a new software programme in order to optimize a more extensive information exchange, also as regards safety and environmental matters.

This new software, Navision, enables a constant update and extension of application programmes, satisfying both internal organisational needs and new requirements imposed by future regulations.

CHOICE OF PRODUCTS

The company devotes increasing efforts to meet the specific requirements made on the products from varying application sectors.

Within the Responsible Care Programme, E&V pursues at the same time its research and development plans with a commitment, whenever possible, to replace all those raw materials and products which may be considered hazardous to health or to the environment, also taking into account the obligations arising from the forthcoming Reach regulations (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization of Chemicals).

ORGANISATION OF THE GROUP ACTIVITIES

The policy of the company is to intensify all efforts towards improving the efficiency regarding  safety measures and containment of the impact on the environment adopted to date at all production sites via continuous investments, control systems and vocational training for the purpose of enhancing safety.

The objectives mainly include:
-   focused interventions to reduce personnel incidents through vocational training, information and use of advanced and secure operational measures
-   improvement of fire prevention and alarm systems
-   monitoring of production plants and warehousing areas
-   production waste containment
-   reduction of energy consumption

 

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

The company, in accordance with external auditors, constantly defines initiatives for the evaluation of Customer Satisfaction, in order to better assess the degree, to which customer expectations of a product or service are met.

The aim is to undertake all the activities necessary to further reduce the number and level of customer complaints.
